Kamdemy.com
A virtual learning website for K6 education.

Client: Kamdemy.com   |   Project Length: 1 month

My Role: Brand Identity, Visual & UI/UX design.

Overview

Kamdemy.com is an online learning website for K6 education, with the aim to provide an individualistic approach to learning and success. I designed the platform to allow parents/guardians to buy classroom plans, choose a specific course, schedule classes with a certified teacher and track the learning progress of their child

The Challenge

Client has extensive experience with virtual tutoring and has been using a marketplace platform that didn’t quite meet their needs. They often got booked to teach at mid-night, could only teach students the same subject, sometimes had payments delayed and no way to keep in touch directly with parents/guardians of the student for progress reports or feedbacks. Client also found out that the marketplace had policies that made it difficult for students to rebook their favorite or effective teachers, denying them more teaching opportunities with these students.

The Goal

Create an edtech brand and platform that can clearly communicate client’s services, capture user data and give them control over their schedule and payment.

Problem Definition

As a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, many schools have switched to online learning, and this has made it difficult for kids to maintain their engagement and enthusiasm towards learning. Additionally, traditional online education can be impersonal and difficult for kids to connect with. Therefore, there is a need for a one-on-one virtual e-learning website that caters to kids’ needs and provides a personalized learning experience to keep them engaged and motivated.

POV Statements:

  • As a parent concerned about my child’s education, I need a one-on-one virtual e-learning website that provides a fun and engaging learning experience for my child, so they can enjoy learning and stay on track.
  • As a teacher trying to adapt to online learning, I need a one-on-one virtual e-learning website that offers a variety of interactive tools and resources to help me create a personalized learning experience for my students.

User Research

I conducted an interview with about half a dozen people within our user target. My focus was to validate the need for an e-learning platform, understand their expected goals as users and find out if they had prior experience with any other e-learning platform.

Target User

The user base for this project are parents/guardians,
typically in the 25 -55 age range, responsible for a child
within K6 age grade.

70%
Have used before, or are using an e-learning platform.

90%
Wanted a comprehensive curriculum and learning path.

65%
Would enrol their child into an e-learning platform.

Prototype

During the covid lockdown, client expressed uncertainty in moving forward with actual development(coding) of the platform due to funding challenges.

After some consultation, I decided to build a prototype on WordPress that could still function as an MVP(minimum viable product).
